Look what a person can do in two days!
It just take some time and hard work. Very hard work. I'm not as sore tonight as I was last night, so that's a good thing. Especially since I did most of the work today!
I dug the bed, then added compost, then dug it all together. Since the bed won't get any bigger, I added the wood and rocks at the end to give it a little structure. I've been adding compost to these beds for so long now that they are default raised beds. I think I can get away with no sides this year, but I may change my mind if I find some more good driftwood. Also, I declined to sift the entire bed this year because I wanted to get things planted!
Zucchini in the front, corn and pumpkins interspersed in the rest of the bed. We'll see how it goes!
Much more to do, but the garden is really coming along now. It's supposed to be a warm and dry summer, which means good growing. I'll keep you posted.
By the way - welcome to my garden page. I'm no expert, but I try a lot of things and most of it works!
